Thinking Cap Theatre is pleased to announce auditions and callbacks for AEA (Special Appearance) and non-Equity actors for its 2023-2024 season.
Auditions will take place via video submission.
Callbacks will be held in person, date/time TBD.
We are casting for the following:
(1) Main Stage production of THE TAMING OF THE SHREW
By William Shakespeare, adapted and directed by Nicole Stodard
Rehearsals begin February 27, 2024.
Production runs March 22 – April 3, 2024.
Ten actors will comprise the company for this production. Three are cast; we are currently seeking seven more actors.
Actors of all ages, ethnicities, genders, and abilities are encouraged to audition.
(2) Staged reading of A WOMAN’S PRIZE; OR THE TAMER TAMED
By John Fletcher, directed by Nicole Stodard
Rehearsals and readings in January/February 2024.
(3) Staged reading of THE TAMING OF THE SHREW
by William Shakespeare, directed by Nicole Stodard
To submit a video submission, please prepare the following:

A recording of no more than 2-minutes in total duration. (Recordings that exceed this limitation will not be viewed.)

At the start, please state your name and the play/role that you will be performing.

Prepare 1 (one) Shakespearean monologue of your choice

Remember, this is Thinking Cap, so feel empowered to make unconventional choices in the monologue that you select and how you approach it, provided it showcases your skill, creativity, range, etc.

If you sing, please also include 16 bars of a capella vocals. Those submitting a monologue and 16 bars may submit videos of up to 3 minutes in length.
