I’M COMING | A Performance Project

Get ready for the return of "I'm Coming: A Performance Project"!

I'm Coming: A Performance Project debuted in 2019 to great acclaim by participants and patrons! Thinking Cap Theatre in partnership with BLINC and Thou Art Woman is thrilled to offer this meaningful program again!

This documentary theatre project supports LGBTQ+ women in transforming their coming out stories into original short plays for public performance. Participants will work with professional artists to learn how plays are made from page to stage in a safe, supportive creative environment.

Participation in the project includes the following:
* 4 Virtual Theatre Workshops
* One-on-one Script Revision Sessions with Workshop Facilitators
* 2-Week Rehearsal Period (evenings/weekends)
* 2 Public Performances at Hollywood Central Performing Arts Center

Registration for PLAYWRIGHT spots is limited, so register while you can if this is your area of greatest interest!

Participants may also register to participate in the following capacities: acting, costume/lighting/set/sound design, direction, stage management.

When you register, you will receive a form by email to select your area(s) of interest (playwriting, acting, designing, stage management).

If the registration fee poses a burden to you, please reach out to us at [email protected]; we have a limited number of scholarships available.
